Sona College of Technology is awarded with Sustainable Institute Industry Partnership (SIIP) award by Society for educational & entrepreneurship development (SEED) for the year 2015. The award was given in 3rd National summit of SEED conducted in IIT Madras. Every year SEED national summit honors the top level institutions national wide for its performance in Institute industry partnership. SIIP award is given based on  various criteria’s like Doctorates in the institution, Research work, Industry projects carried out, placements etc.,

On these criteria SONA College won the award for this year. Thiru. Thyagu Valliappa, Vice chairman, Sona Group of institutions received the award and delivered keynote address on the event. “Industry and institutions are like two sides of the coin “he said during his speech. Dignitaries from various educational Institutions and industries, scholars, have attended the event and discussed about various ways of improving industry institute partnership.
