The Men and Women teams of Sona College of Technology made a stunning win in the Anna University’s 8th Zonal level Chess Tournament.
Held on March 22, 2021, at Muthayammal College of Engineering, Rasipuram, the tournament attracted teams from 15 colleges.
It was a Swiss type tournament with three rounds in the men and women categories. Teams from Sona College unleashed their skills and dazzled their opponents with smart and thoughtful moves.
In each of the three rounds, Sona teams got 2 points and emerged as winners. The Secretary of the host college distributed the prizes.
The winning teams are qualified to participate in the University Inter-zonal Tournament.
