The training was organized by Department of Civil Engineering to the students of ME Construction Engineering and Management from 05.02.2018 to 10.02.2018. The training on software was provided by Arris Cadd Technology, Coimbatore. The trainers were Mr. S. Logesh Director, ARRIS CAD Technology, Coimbatore and Mr. B. Sasibalan, Project Engineer. Primavera is planning and scheduling software that let user’s measure progress, assure governance, improve team collaboration and prioritize project investments and resources. The training was also attended by interested faculty members that benefited in usage of this planning software. The first day started with a brief introduction and installation of software’s in laptops. The next 3 days was on software training and the trainers took care to clear doubts to each student. Upon completion of all the commands, an assignment was given to prepare a schedule exclusively for a construction projects with the data learnt so far. On the last day of closure an introduction to new software called Quantity Take off was given that was helpful in quantity take off using simple procedure. We thank the management, Principal and the Head of Department Dr.R.Malathy for permitting this software course that benefits both students and faculties.
