Google Gemini Campus Innovation Initiative

Sona College of Technology students, Bhavana. L (ADS) and Sunil (EEE), have won the final round of the Fund My Crazy Hackathon conducted by Google Gemini and they have got Rs. 25 Lakhs funding. Students from all over the country were invited to submit their creative solutions to actual campus problems for the contest. These solutions included services and applications, events and product ideas that will significantly improve the student life on the campus. Only the top ten finalist teams from a 30000+ national entries were selected for funding, with prizes ranging from Rs. 3 lakhs to Rs. 25 lakhs. The final round was held at IIT Bombay. An industry-level jury assessed the short listed contestants' concept for relevance, viability and impact, demonstrating the strength of their idea and their capacity to translate the creative thinking into a solution. At the national level, Sona College of Technology has once again demonstrated its dedication in producing students who are capable of independent thought and creative response to real-world situations.
